Two things demonstrate the unique importance of the arts in Cuba. 1) During the entire symposium we received major print, television and on-line coverage; 2) In a country where people work for an average of $30 a month, the ACAA spent $2,000 remodeling the kitchen & bathroom and building this thatched Pavilion for working & eating.
